Since 1993, Keeler has been awarding the Joe Wither’s Scholarship to Kendall College of Art & Design (KCAD) students of Ferris State University since 1993 in honor of Joe Withers, longtime former president of Keeler.
Dedicated to giving back and investing in the West Michigan design community, where Keeler began over 120 years ago, we award scholarships annually to one or more outstanding KCAD juniors or seniors in the Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or Interior Design programs who demonstrate exceptional merit both in and out of the classroom.
This year, two outstanding ladies won the scholarship.
Sara Plambeck, a junior in the industrial design program from Holland, MI is on track to graduate in the spring of 2016. A skilled illustrator and creative thinker, she aspires to design products and environments that motivate people to lead healthy lifestyles.
Victoria Hays, who hails from Metamora, MI is a junior in the interior design program who spent a large part of her childhood drawing up floor plans and elevations, rearranging dollhouses, and watching HGTV. After graduation, she plans to pursue her dream of starting a residential interior design firm in her home region of northern Michigan
Each scholarship is in the amount of $1400. Congrats to these ladies and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors!
